Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers say the ASUS ROG Strix G18 G815 delivers the big-screen, high-performance experience they wanted, with fast gameplay, strong multitasking, and a display that makes games and media look sharp and smooth. YouTube reviewers repeatedly describe it as a powerhouse for gaming and productivity, praising the 18-inch panel, the Intel i9-class processor, and the RTX 5070’s ability to handle demanding titles and creative work.
On Reddit and in forum-style discussions mirrored by review coverage, users highlight the appeal of the roomy chassis, upgrade-friendly design, and RGB-heavy ROG styling. Reviewers also note that this is a desk-first machine: it is heavy, but in exchange it offers the kind of cooling, screen size, and sustained performance that serious gamers tend to value.
Reviewers also point out a few tradeoffs. Battery life is described as modest for a machine this powerful, and the RTX 5070 configuration is praised for speed but still faces scrutiny in the most demanding high-resolution workloads. For shoppers who want a bold, fast, and feature-packed gaming laptop with plenty of headroom, the Strix G18 stands out as a premium option.
