Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers are not directly surfaced in the available results, but Reddit users describe the ROG Strix G18 (2025) as a strong desktop-replacement laptop with a very good large display and comfortable keyboard. Reddit comments also emphasize that it is heavy, has limited battery life, and can get noisy under load.
Review discussions across Reddit and video reviews consistently point to the same pattern: excellent gaming and productivity performance, especially for a big 18-inch machine, balanced against average portability and battery life. One Reddit review calls it a beast and highlights strong frame rates, while another says the display suits their needs and the keyboard feels comfortable.
YouTube review results for the Strix G18 (2025) show multiple real reviews and unboxings for closely related configurations of this model. The strongest recurring themes in those videos are high performance, loud fans under stress, and short battery life. Some videos specifically frame it as a portable desktop rather than a travel-friendly laptop.
- Pros: big immersive 18-inch screen, fast gaming performance, good keyboard, desktop-like power.
- Cons: heavy chassis, battery life is only average to weak, fan noise can be noticeable.
- Best for: buyers who want a large-screen gaming machine that will spend most of its life on a desk.
