Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers say the Sony WF-1000XM5 earns praise for strong sound quality and effective noise cancellation, but fit remains the most debated issue, with many noting that the earbuds can feel unstable or fall out during everyday use. Amazon reviewers also describe mixed battery-life and value-for-money experiences, with some calling the earbuds worth the price and others saying they feel overpriced for the performance.
On Reddit, users are similarly split: many praise the detailed sound and class-leading ANC, while others say the foam eartips are fragile, the fit is too sensitive to ear shape, and call quality is only average. Reddit discussions also highlight that the earbuds perform best when the right tip size and seal are found.
YouTube reviewers generally focus on the same strengths and weaknesses, with demos and reviews often emphasizing premium sound, improved noise cancelling, and compact design, while also calling out the fit and long-term comfort concerns that come up in owner feedback.
