Editor's Take
The AMERLIFE 70-inch Fluted TV Stand earns praise for its mid-century styling, warm walnut finish, and generous combination of open shelving and enclosed storage. Target reviewers say it looks like the photos, elevates a room, and is relatively straightforward to assemble. One Target reviewer particularly liked the fluted detailing and said the finished piece was beautiful, arriving quickly and in excellent condition.
Functionality receives a more mixed assessment. Target reviewers appreciate the storage capacity and clean appearance, but several report that the doors or drawers do not slide smoothly, align properly, or close easily. Other Target reviews describe the stand as wobbly or made from thin laminate, particleboard, and MDF, with some customers reporting damaged pieces, peeling surfaces, uneven seams, or strong odors on arrival.
YouTube reviewers show a more favorable experience, highlighting the fluted doors, open shelves, cable-management openings, soft-closing doors, wipe-clean surface, and space for larger televisions. The video review also describes the stand as sturdy and says assembly was straightforward with clear instructions.
Overall, this stand’s strongest appeal is its polished walnut look and substantial storage at a furniture-style scale. Feedback suggests checking every component carefully during delivery and taking extra time to align the doors during assembly. It is best suited to shoppers who prioritize contemporary mid-century design and concealed storage, while those seeking especially rugged construction or consistently smooth door operation should weigh the quality-control complaints.
