New Fashion Trends That Will Heighten Your Look

New Fashion Trends That Will Heighten Your Look

Many people are insecure about their bodies, whether it is their height or weight there are many ways to look great and feel comfortable. From the cut of your shirt to the height of your shoes, every piece must coordinate. The key to looking good is to stay on top of new fashion trends. You can do this by making friends with buyers from your favorite stores or simply reading the latest fashion magazine. Some people look at the models in the magazines and think they can never look like that but if you follow the style for your body type, you will look just as great as they do.

Color

If you are conscious about your weight, it is important to select the right colors. Stripes and prints can cause you to look heavier than you truly are. In some cases, vertical stripes can help you to create a thinner look. If you are a heavier person, you should wear darker colors as the colors will absorb the light thus giving you a thinner appearance. If you are a thinner person, wearing bright colors will make you appear bigger.

Shoes

For people you are worried about their height, the type of shoe you wear can make a difference. Wedge shoes are currently the trend for females although women who are tall already should avoid very tall shoes. If you are a shorter woman, a wedge shoe can add a few needed inches in a subtle way. Women are not the only ones looking to add a few inches to their height; men are also self-conscious about their height. For men there are many fashionable elevator shoes to choose, from business to casual there is something for every occasion. These shoes have a hidden insert called a lift that raises the heel of the person wearing them, giving the appearance of being taller.

Every girl should have a capsule wardrobe of the key items needed to go on holiday. Read through this checklist before you go away to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your break in style.

Sunglasses:

Hopefully, you are heading to a hot destination, where they have something called the sun. I know this sounds crazy, as we seem to have lived in perpetual darkness for around nine months, but in some parts of the world it is actually rather warm. As such, ensuring you pack a good pair of sunnies to protect your blinkers from the UV rays of the sun is a sensible idea. Plus, it means you can read on the beach or go for long walks in direct sunlight without getting a headache.

Contact Lenses: Tips on How to Pick the Perfect Pair

Contact Lenses: Tips on How to Pick the Perfect Pair

Choosing the perfect pair of contact lenses isn't easy. There are almost limitless options today, from cosmetic to highly practical lenses. Between the variety of manufacturers, lens types, and lens wear lengths, it can take a while to decide what kind of contact lenses you want. If you don't choose the right type, you can waste money very easily. Hard lenses tend to cost a significant amount of money since they last so long, after all.

When buying lenses, listen to the advice of your eye doctor but be sure you're making your own decision. Buying lenses online by using the prescription is popular so that you don't have to pay the steep fee many eye doctors who also sell contacts will charge you. Here are some factors to consider when choosing contact lenses.

Do you want cosmetic changes?

Some contact lenses change your appearance - for example, theatrical lenses may give you a demonic or angelic look, Halloween lenses can give you cat eyes or a scary Dracula appearance, and so on. Other changes are subtler, such as contacts that brighten your eyes or change your eye color without making you look non-human.

Disposable or extended-wear?

Some types of contact lenses are created to be disposable. For example, if you decide that you want to avoid the hassle of cleaning and storing lenses, you can choose daily disposable lenses and wear them once, then throw them out. They tend to be a more expensive option over the long term if you do this every day, however. Extended-wear lenses cost more upfront but you continue to use them for weeks or months. Typically, rigid lenses are extended-wear contacts, but soft lenses come in both disposable and extended-wear versions.

Hard or soft material?

Soft lenses may feel more comfortable initially, but they are harder to clean and many people find hard lenses more comfortable once you get used to wearing them. The benefits of soft lenses include lower chances of infections from improper cleaning, greater comfort, and sometimes UV protection. However, they can absorb pollutants and dry out your eyes, and they tend to be more fragile. Hard lenses include rigid gas permeable (RGP or GP) lenses, which can give you clearer vision and are very durable over the long term.

Do you need bifocals?

City breaks: a weekend wardrobe for a weekend away

City breaks: a weekend wardrobe for a weekend away

Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Venice or New York? Choosing where to go is hard enough, but you’ll want to have as much fun as possible in the short time you have once you’ve decided. Making the most of your time is essential for getting the best from a city break so why not start by packing light. If you can fit your clothes and toiletries into a small hand luggage sized case or bag you’ll save loads of time at the airport so you’ll have more time to spend sightseeing. With some careful planning you’ll be able still be able to dress to impress but have the freedom of being able to step off the pane and get on your way.

Consider a few things before you set off: your destination, the weather and your itinerary.

Try and cover every eventuality with as few items as possible by mixing and matching individual pieces so that you don’t need a full outfit for every day.

Wear your most comfortable jeans to travel in, but take some chunky beads and a colourful neck scarf to dress them up with a top for a casual evening out. Layering works well too and if you team a fine ribbed sweater with a vest top and jeans you can take off your jumper if you’re lucky enough to get warm weather and keep it rolled up in a bag.

Make sure you pack a more sophisticated dress if you’re planning dinner in a fancy restaurant but keep it simple and it will be more versatile. A bright tunic dress can be accessorised with jewellery for the evening or dressed down with leggings and flat pumps for sightseeing during the day.
