This fly lamp shop had some very cool and unique lamps on offer. Based in Palermo Buenos Aires, a design district among other things this guy's (Jorge Luis Borges) business was the design and manufacture of cool lighting. The show piece is a 4 ft octopus ! Ok not a fly but Jorge probably felt like a break from flies and bugs !

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this Brazillian plastic shoe fasion designers exposition high up in a mansion in the bohemian part of Rio De Janeiro Santa Teresa. Beautiful views of Rio and the plastic dreams adorned most rooms in this mansion including the toilets. Such creativity was used to show the designs like minature pairs of plastic shoes in false walls with peep holes. Or the actual shoes themselves. Tons of vivienne westwood and other fashionistas adorned the often pink walls.

I love this hat, just have to get hold of one. I'm hoping to decide between the Black or Silver. What do you think looks best and could I get away with this away from the slopes ?

Barts do this hat and some other really great stuff too. Just the sort of thing I like my ski bunnies wearing if you like my taste ?

I am excited by the prospect of another week of skiing or snowboarding somewhere on the planet. Like a caribbean beach a ski resort is one of the few things that can take my mind AWAY. So it was with excitement that I attended my first ever ski show in London. Here are a few pics and I will be following up on this with a more detailed report on items to consider when selecting a ski instructor course.
